Summary
As part of the Arab Land Initiative, and in cooperation with the United Nations Human Settlements Program UN-HABITAT and the Global Land Tool Network (GLTN), the International Youth Council – Yemen (IYCY) will organize a regional conference to share knowledge on the role of CSOs in land governance in The Arab region from 20 - 21 December 2020.
The conference seeks to discuss the role and challenges facing CSOs operating in the land governance sector in the region. It will highlight the potential areas of CSOs work for cooperation between different organizations and their capacity and contribution to better land management in the Arab countries.
The main objectives of the event are to share knowledge in creating a common understanding and areas of converging interest about the role of civil society in land governance in the Arab region, with a focus on land and property rights and land tenure security. By bringing together experts, government representatives, civil society partners from the region, and other partners from various sectors.
