Land Tenure Systems in North Africa: A Scoping Study

The main goal of this study was to provide scientists and policymakers useful evidence on the nature of land tenure systems in five North African countries, namely Egypt, Morocco, Mauritania, Sudan, and Tunisia.
In so doing, the study provides a basis for a strategic plan aimed at designing appropriate interventions to improve land governance in the region.
The outcomes of the study, which are presented in this book, specifically highlight the needs of the countries with regard to capacity development on land governance through better informed training, continuous training, and research.
