The objective of this research is to contribute to assessing the capacities of land management and administration in the Arab region by providing a pilot study based on the case of Lebanon. The aim is to use a uniform methodological approach by assessing the capacities of the core land administration functions: land tenure, land value, land use, and land disputes resolution. The study will provide a foundation for further comparative studies conducted in other countries to draw conclusions and exchange lessons learned. The core land functions are: Land tenure Land value Land use Land development Land dispute resolution.
