The Arab Land Initiative is pleased to invite you to the Arab States Modern Land Administration for Sustainable Development Forum that will take place in Amman, Jordan, Autumn 2019 (Dates will be communicated soon)

The Forum is being organized by the Jordanian Department of Land and Survey (DLS) in partnership with the Netherlands’ Cadastre, Land Registry and Mapping Agency (Kadaster). Within the context of attaining the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, and as a follow-up of the 1st Arab Land Conference in Dubai in 2018, the Forum offers a platform for debate on the future of Land Administration in a sustainable and Fit For Purpose land administration system that suits the needs of society and environment as a whole.

The key themes of the Forum are:

  • land policies for social and economic development
  • law for modern land administration
  • data acquisition in fit-for-purpose approaches
  • data sharing
  • financing modern land administration.

The set-up will be a modern approach with short pitches and moderated discussions.
